2007 Cabernet Merlot

This, our very first Cabernet and Merlot blend, is a fruit driven wine with minimal oak influence (9 months in French oak). The colour is garnet with purple edges and offers up ripe fruit aromas and flavours of dark cherries, cherry plum and rasberry. The palate is soft, fruity and well balanced due to the one third contribution of Merlot. An excellent easy drinking wine, ideal with lamb and lighter flavoured meats but will develop over the medium term (3-4 years).
